Milly, Molly and Alf has been short-listed with three other children's books for the prestigious 'Il Premio Grinzane Cavour' Italian literary award which recognises children's books that make a positive contribution to children in the promotion of multi culturalism. EDT.srl., the Italian publishers of Milly, Molly are delighted with the recognition given to Milly, Molly and Alf and view the nomination as a reflection of the quality of all the Milly, Molly books and the positive contribution that the books bring to children's growth of character. The winner of what is commonly known as the 'Grinzane Junior Prize', will be chosen by popular vote of Italian children.
December 2006Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers
Dr. Henry Kabula, Advisor & Head, Education Section, Social Transformation Programmes Division of the Commonwealth Secretariat, has invited John and Gill to attend The 16th Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers in Cape Town on 10-14 December. This is the biggest international gathering of Education players (Government, Inter-Government, Private and Civil Society) in a very long time.
